Truth Hurts Part 7
I leaned forward, parting my lips slightly and so did he. Then our lips touched, connecting with each other. It was wonderful. He pulled me closer, and I willingly came to him. I wrapped my arms around his neck, kissing him passionately. He kissed me back. I knew this was wrong, but at the moment, I didn't want to be right. It erased my worries, taking back all the pain.. Christopher was with me, and that's everything I needed. The only thing I needed was him. Finally, we stopped, trying to catch our breath. My cheeks were flushed and so were his. I looked at him, into his deep brown-blue eyes. They were a shade like no other. That color was his, and his only. He smiled at me, and held my hand. I leaned onto his shoulder, closing my eyes. It was quiet for a moment, but not the bad type of quiet. I finally spoke, remembering my problems. "I need to call my lawyer." I whispered, voice filled with the earlier pain. He nodded and let my hand go. I grabbed the phone and dialed quickly. "Hello, Daniel Richard's Lawyers, how may I help you?" the voice came. "Hello, may I speak to Mr.Richard?" I asked, nervous. "Of course." "Thank you." The line transferred and a deep husky voice said into the receiver. "Daniel Richard, How may I help you?" he answered. "Mr.Richard, hi. It's me Lisa Selis, daughter of L-" he cut me off. "Ah, Miss Selis! What a pleasure to hear from you! How are you doing?" he answered happily. "Fine, thank you. And you?" I responded. "Doing just fine. How's your mother?" he asked. "Well, Uh, Mr. Richard, that's why I called. My mom has-" I stopped, tears beginning to flow. Christopher wiped them away and drew me near. "Your mother has passed away?" he asked, shocked. "Yes, she has." I responded, biting my lip to hold back my sobs. "Oh dear Lord! Come to my office. No setup date needed." he said, a hint of sadness in his voice. "I will. Thank you." I mumbled into the phone. "Alright." he responded and hung up. I put the phone back and held onto the kitchen counter for support. Christopher came to me, and wrapped his arms around my waist. "Are you okay?" he said into my ear. I didn't trust my voice, so I just nodded my head. He turned me around, and made me look into his eyes. "I need to go see my lawyer." I said, hypnotized by his eyes. "Then I'm going." he said, and by the tone of his voice, it was final. I nodded and stretched to reach his lips and kiss him at least one more time.
