Truth Hurts Part Twenty Two
-----------Lisa's Point Of View----------- *Chirp, chirp* I peered out the window. It was morning already? I looked back at Christopher, and saw him sleeping peacefully. He looked younger, like a little boy. I smiled to myself. I started to trace his lips lightly, so that I wouldn't wake him up. He remained asleep. I put my face closer to his. How I longed to kiss his lips- And he suddenly leaned forward and kissed me. I laughed, and pulled back. "Morning, sleepyhead." I said playfully. "Ah, morning. What time is it?" he asked, getting up to stretch. "Um, six twenty. We have to hurry! School starts in an hour!" I said, immediately getting up. He nodded and went to a drawer. "You shower first. I'll take a shower after. Meanwhile, I'll prepare breakfast." he said, pulling out his clothes. "Okay." I nodded, getting my towel, and heading to the restroom. I started to take a shower, remembering what happened. That song. What was the name of the song? I tried remembering, and the lyrics came to me. "I will love you forever.... I will understand you.. Just keep us together, until the end of time.. Just you and me..." It was a song he had written a year earlier. I memorized it, because it was my favorite song. I hurried and took a shower. After about ten minutes, I heard a knock on the door. "Breakfast is ready!" he called. "Okay! I'll be out in a sec." I said. I heard his footsteps fade away. I turned the water off and dried myself. Afterwards, only wrapped in a towel, I went to my room to change. I was in the hallway when he came around the corner. He stuttered for a minute, all red. I blushed and said, "I'm going to go c-change." He nodded and went into the kitchen. I quickly went into my room and changed. Once I finished, I went into the kitchen. He was sitting there, waiting. For breakfast, he prepared eggs, sausages, and orange juice. "Yum." I said when I saw the meal. "Yeah, just a little plain breakfast." I rolled my eyes and took a seat. I ate quickly, and finished in a matter of minutes. He frowned. "You ate it too fast." "Yes, but we are going to be late." I said. "It's six forty, relax. I'm going to go shower." Christopher said, getting up. I nodded. "I'll do the dishes." "Okay." and he went to the restroom. I finished the dishes in seconds. "Oh, my backpack." I realized. It was around here somewhere. I looked in the living room. Not there. I looked in my room. Not there either. "Where is it?" I muttered. And I spot it. In Christopher's room. I was confused, but I went to go retrieve it. I picked it up and walked to the living room. I needed to brush my teeth, so I waited for Christopher to come out of the restroom. To entertain myself, I began to sing the song he hummed to me yesterday. "Just you and me. Hold me close. Don't let me fall apart.." I sang quietly. "I love the way you sing it." Christopher said quietly behind me. "Gah! Chris! You scared me!" I said, turning around immediately. "Sorry. But what I said is true. You sing beautifully." he said, taking a seat next to me. I blushed and stammered a thank you. He leaned to kiss me. "No." I said, leaning away. "Why not?" he asked, hurt. "I haven't brushed my teeth." I stated. That undid him. He bursted out laughing. "Shut up." I said, and pushed him playfully. "Well, go brush your teeth, so that I can kiss you." he said, laughing. I blushed and went to the restroom, so that I could brush my teeth. After I finished, I checked the time. Seven sharp. Time to go. I quickly brushed my hair. "It's time to go!" I called out to him. "I know! I'll start the car." he called out. I grabbed my backpack. He came back into the house. "Ready?" he asked, taking my hand. "Yeah." I replied. We went outside and I locked the door. "Okay, let's go." I said. We got into the car. "One thing." he said. I nodded and kissed him, lightly. He smiled and we backed out, headed towards the school.
