Labyrinth

What are you now but an extension of my mind?
Trailing off into another direction, zigzagging through space,
Lost forever in a forest of thought,
Forgotten recesses in the dark,
Hidden in brambles and thornbushes.
A tree falling to the ground and heard by noone.
What are you now but a fragment of my imagination?
Real, but not quite.
There, but not here.
And I had met you a year ago,
Had known you a year ago
And to me you were not a fragment,
Not a ripped piece from a photograph,
Not a crumpled letter on the floor.
My heart was not lost inside its labyrinth,
Instead was a golden field stiched onto the blue horizon,
An endless panorama of emotions.
You were not a broken piece of my mind, peace of mind, ease of mind.
You were not forgotten,
Not forced into the darkness.
You were an entire world,
Half of being, definitely there,
Just far too good to be true.

Incessant Torture Of The Mind

I'm afraid I'm being foolish. As a result of my blindness, blind trust. My complete immersion in emotion. Judgement blurred. Inhibitions lowered. I live my life for the moment. And cherish each one.

Bradley

To produce nothing but withdrawn faith,. On that once wild, now withered day. Allows us time,. So sweet, so true, so unbelieving. What have we survived, conquered and ultimately overcome.

Cloud

Cloud over a day. Hiding the light. Invoking the rain. Awaiting storms. Reforming the dawn. Inviting the grey. One sideways glance. Erases the day. Retrospective. My heart selective. Self reliance.

Pour In

Pour in. Pour in. Pour in. Displace and replace. Like storm clouds into a peaceful sky. A shout into a quiet room. A tragedy into a dull day. Or common sense into an otherwise Republican mind.
