Unreadable

A letter, would be nice
Preferably one that explained,
Everything truthfully, no lies
One that outlined what
Your intentions were,
Are, whatever they may be
I wouldn't be scared to
Find out what, how, why?
Actually, it would only
Do me much good,
Clear my head like it should
Though more importantly
Mend my heart, knowing
You had a reason,
Knowing it wasn't
A random act of
Kindness dragged on
For days and weeks
Only to be broken off,
Forgotten and trodden on.
Don't tell me you did it
For the sake of doing it
For the sake of feeling it,
Curiosity, spur of the moment,
A life experiment, a social
Test you wanted to pass -
You're not that great
At hiding emotions,
There were ways to tell
Always ways to read
What you were thinking.
You'd give it away,
Always good with
Expressions, not afraid
To smile when happy,
To frown when angry.
Yet honestly, today
I'm stuck at the end,
Nothing. Unreadable.
Now you've got me
Pacing impatiently,
Not knowing if I still know you,
Wondering if I still ought to.
