It's been such a long time, since we did last chat
I hope you've been fine, I hope your happy where you're at
I see that you have went off and done something with your life
And I only wish that I would've been there by your side
You still have that smile, that mesmerizing grin
That seems to cheer up everyone that's drawn in
You still have those eyes that look so fondly at me
Straight into my heart, and I wonder what it could be
That can draw the attention of such an angelic gaze
Pulling me out of my heartache filled haze
I could sit here and talk to you if you had the time
But you got your life, and I must go back to dreading mine
If I see you again, I consider myself blessed
To know such a woman that leaves all so impressed
Would look as me as a friend and good fellow
But in reality I'm nothing but some past distant shadow
