Brokenhearted-2

Bri's Point of View

"Mary this is our new daughter Bri." Paul introduces me to a beautiful lady. She looks to be about forty.

"Excuse me?"

"Hi," I say timidly.

"Can I speak with my husband privately?"

I nod, "It's okay if you want to take me back, you wouldn't be the first," I say turning around and walking back out the front door to sit on the curb.

Harry's Point of View

I hope Mary let's Bri stay. She has been through so much in her life.

She is beautiful. She won't date me, that's a fact.

"Hey mate," Louis says, sitting beside me on the edge of the pool.

"Hey."

"I hope Mary let's her stay."

"Me too."

"I'm going to lunch. Wanna come?"

"No, I'll pass thanks."

"See ya."

"See ya Lou."

Bri's Point of View

"Bri can you come in?" Paul asks.

I walk into the well furnished home and stand awkwardly next to the tall man.

"Welcome to the family," Mary says opening her arms.

My smile grows bigger as she pulls me into a hug. "Thank you," I whisper into her shoulder.

"I'll show you around."

Mary and Paul show me around the house. I place my stuff in the guest bedroom, which is now my bedroom.

"The boy's flats are just ten minutes away. Do you know how to drive?" Paul asks.

"Yes."

"You can use any car in the garage and you can go shopping with the boys for a phone and some clothes."

"Thank you."

He leaves and I lay back on the bed.

How did I get so lucky?

I put on my old sneakers and walk down the stairs to the kitchen.

"I'm going to go to the boys flat and then shopping."

"Have fun."

I smile and grab a pair of keys of the counter.

Harry's Point of View

There's a soft knock at my door. I open the door to a small girl, Bri.

"Hi," she says barely above a whisper.

"Would you like to come in?"

"Thanks." She steps over the door step and into my flat.

I watch her eyes look around cautiously.

"Can you help me with something?" She asks.

"Of course, what is it?"

"I need some new shoes. And clothes. And a phone."

"Are you asking me to take you shopping?"

"Maybe," she smiles showing her perfect teeth.

"Let's go."

Bri's Point of View

I'm glad Harry came with me to go shopping. I bought an IPhone, shoes, and some clothes.

We are sitting at a booth in a Starbucks. I ordered an iced coffee.

Harry watches me stir the ice around with my straw. "Stop watching me curly," I say.

"I have a name."

"I know, but I like curly."

Harry's Point of View

She is so beautiful.

"What is the foster center like?" I ask.

She looks taken back. "Uhm. I. Uh."

"I'm sorry, that was a bit personal."

"It's fine. Well being in five different ones, they're all different I guess."

Her cheeks grow a soft pink as she looks down in embarrassment.
