They can't control me,
They said that they would,
They said it'd help,
Help like nobody could,
But I've solved the problem,
Figured out the clue,
Now nobody can put me back,
Not even you,
You sit there always staring at me,
Staring with such intent,
Staring with such dement,
Figuring how to gain control all over again.
When I look through the window you're all that I see.
But you'll never again be able to control me,
I know that you've tried,
But you're stuck in there now,
We could have been great,
But you've spoilt it.
You wanted it all for yourself,
You forgot about me,
Now look who is stuck, now look who is trapped,
For years I've sat and waited,
For years I've hesitated.
But now I'm in control,
Im in control and now you can't put me back.
They don't understand us,
They think you're not real.
But I know their plan,
It's my mind they want to steal,
I know they'll do everything they can,
They don't understand,
They just sit and demand,
Demand I realise that all I'm seeing is me,
Seeing me in the window? What a hypocrisy,
Why are you always right when you're always wrong,
It's you, not me that's stuck in there,
You'll never break free from the cage,
You wouldn't dare.
I dared, I dared to break free,
Now I'll live my life not stuck in your head,
I can't be you because you're not me,
But I'll never go back, I'd rather be dead,
Look at you there in that stupid white coat,
With dirt in your hair and marks on your throat,
You're a mess,
You should clean up your act,
You should find something to do,
Anything but continue to stare on through,
Stare at me all you want dear,
But I'm never let you out again, never letting you near.
(I attempted to write as if I had multiple personalities or something to that affect, staring into a mirror, projecting the other personality into there. I attempted to jump from thought to thought to make it more realistic. I'd appreciate feedback
