Night, at some point, makes you thoughtful.
Darkness surrounds you,
And you can't help but to close your eyes
And think.
Think about the day you just lived.
Everything you did,
Whether you should've done this or that,
Or whether you shouldn't have done that or this.
Reliving the glory moments
When you took charge
And did something no one else had the courage to do,
And regretting all the stupid moments
All the "I never should've done that", "I can't believe I said that", and "what made me react like that?" times.
And then thoughts lead to dreams
The, "what if" dreams
Where your true love comes riding in on a white horse
And saves you from the dragon of reality.
And then all of a sudden,
You wake up.
The moments have gone,
They've been lived through and thought about.
The dream has ended,
Right before the last kiss and the dragon's last breath.
And your left knowing
That the dragon never dies,
No matter how hard your prince tries.
And your still left locked away in that tower the dragon trapped you in
Until the next night
And you can dream it all again.

I write what I feel, even though I'm not that good at writing. This. Is. Me.
