She stood in the darkness not knowing what to do. She looked dishevelled, her chestnut hair ragged and out of place, debris and rips on her clothing, her bag lying on the floor somewhere in the darkened forest behind her. A road lay in front of her, go left or right? The road split the forest in two, all she knew was she was not going back into the forest.

'Nobody knows what is in that forest, some say its a madman others say its some kind of fantasy monster but whatever it is you shouldn't go in alone', Lexi was half listening to the local legends, her family just made her move into town and the local kids were doing their part of trying to scare her. Lexi never lived anywhere long but she fitted in with most people her plain looks, chestnut coloured hair and friendly green eyes guaranteed her friends, but she hoped this place worked out. It was too interesting and mysterious to move again in just a few months. The town was anything but standard. It was isolated everything in one place, the school, the shops, the houses, all guarded by the woods and roads, the opening of the town looked to promise an idilic life, but once inside it appeared to be anything but idilic.
