He was back again, his ice blue eyes were a contrast to his pale skin and deep brown hair. He was intriguing and Lexi wanted to know more about him.
'So, is there any good places to hang out around here?'
He turned and surveyed the girl, he knew she was new to the town, but her face told the story of a girl who had seen and experienced a lot in her life. He figured she was the same age as him, he knew they were at the same school, but with its own curricular guidelines, your age never determined if you were in the same classes, your intelligence did, and since he didn't know her name, he knew she was too new to have done the tests yet.
'Well a lot of the kids hang out by the mini shopping centre'
'Do you?'
'No' he wasn't going to let this girl know too much. She seemed unsure of how to carry on the conversation, he could see the hesitation on her face. 'When do you do your class exams?'
'End of the week, I don't get why I have to do them'
'Well the school runs on a different system, it places you based on how clever you are not your age, which is usual for schools, if you are a mini genius you go to higher education classes which are basically like learning for degrees, its a good system and why the town works well'
'Is that why everyone stays here then? I suppose you work and live at your level, if you are clever you get to the top, if not your probably stuck in a store not able to get out as your schooling doesn't count in the outside world' He laughed, she was smarter then he thought!
'See you around school sometime, especially if you ace those tests'
He wondered off, knowing there was a girl he had to keep an eye on, he had to not let wonder around to find hidden secrets.
