My my! It's pretty chilly
The frost is thick and hard
The vista from my doorway
Looks just like a Christmas card
Unseasonable weather?
Is it off the scale, the page?
The weathermen will tell you
To prepare for an ice age
A time of wind and rain and snow
But it'll be alright
You can watch the worlds destruction
Via satellite
There's been two years of rainfall
In a day or two
Against a force like that
There isn't too much you can do
I'll still go outside
For I have my wellies, see?
My home town's been at risk
Since the floods of '53
The television asks me
Is our weather getting worse?
We've had it all before
It's our fault we don't rehearse
I digress, I go too far
All I really want to say
Is that it's pretty chilly
Because it's a frosty day
And it's the same for everyone
North or south of the border
If you feel the cold
Maybe a jumper is in order
Blame anything and everything
But if the truth be told
Just remember it's December
And it's supposed to be quite cold...
