At noon tonight An old moon will rise Among a million sighs Blue bats will fly In a lightening sky Tall tales told by trees Just before they freeze A chilling tune For its cold at noon

At noon tonight Colours will run From an exploding sun The stars will fall For no reason at all And the clouds will part To reveal a work of art The critics will swoon At the darkness of noon

At noon tonight We'll hide away To the shadows we'll stray Midnight or midday Twelve either way We'll fill the air With a falsehoods prayer And then bark at the moon Running red at noon

At noon tonight It's a different game Though it all seems the same Things may seem strange But nothing will change You still remain A lilting refrain And I'll be with you soon Tonight at noon
