TV's on but I'm not watching
Bitten alive, skin is blotching!
But it's peaceful, all is at rest
This time of day is the very best
Nothing to do, no need to worry
The world's asleep, so I won't hurry
A random piece like this, you'll find
Is a product of what's on my relaxed mind
I'm just writing and enjoying myself
I've written loads, a poetical wealth
Through the day, late at night
Shot through with dark, bathed in light
Just nice to get it all out of my head
Ladies and gents, I'm going to bed...
