A copper and a robber
Were perusing on their lot
Copper noticed what a load
Of money robber had got
He said to him Oh robber
I admire your wily skill
Clean getaway, a big payday
It must give you a thrill
Robber said I must admit
It makes my pulses throb
Tell you what why don't you come
With me on my next job
So, Tuesday night, big job alright
A bank vault in Soho
Copper tried to take it fast
Robber told him to stay low
But copper must have misheard him
And triggered an alarm
Robber ran and left him to
His colleagues' grace and charm
Of course there is a moral
And it's an easy one to see
For copper's now banged up and is
Where robber ought to be
