Up at some ridiculous hour
I wouldn't like to say
I'll do all that's in my power
Get thru my usual day
Get to work, park the car
In the regular bay
I really wish I could crawl far
From my usual day
But here in my profession
I can write away
I'll use free form expression
To describe my usual day
And to that extent I'm lucky
For it helps me find my way
In this ever decreasing circle
That I call my usual day
