Where is everybody? Are you all still sound asleep?
Has it suddenly become the trend to count some extra sheep?
Do you shy away from daytime? Do you crumble in the light?
Are you using magic pens that only seem to work at night?
Has imagination left, do you not know what to think?
You're in a digital domain so you can't be out of ink
If the adage remains true; the pen is mightier than the sword
Then slice and dice me up 'cos I'm the Chairman of the Bored!
I know I crack on early, been around since half past five
But I've never ever known it so completely unalive
I know you'll come back soon, I know eventually you'll show
I think I'll write butt naked 'cos no-one will ever know!
So come on Opuss, get a grip, come and join me soon
I don't want to have to wait until a brand new or blue moon
I know I'm not the only one who's noticed this of late
