How, by definition
Does it feel to be alive
Is it something that we do
Or is it that for which we strive?
I've heard it said, 'Live Your Life'
For you only get the one
Elucidate my friend
Come and show me how it's done
Some may do it slowly
Others at a pace
You can live a life that's lowly
Or with a smile upon your face
Some will reach for good
While others turn to bad
Don't live it, then regret
The chance you never had
It seems there's no real answer
It's not for me to tell
Some will find their paradise
For some it's a living hell
You can try flying solo
Or take a partner and become 'us'
I try to live mine gently
With a minimum of fuss
Take the beast by the horns
And live it as you will
One thing's for sure, it is no more
Than a roller coaster thrill
There is no proper answer
That's all there is to say
Just be the best that you can be
And live your life that way
It's a heady mixture
There'll be pleasure, there'll be strife
But who can really say
Exactly how to live a life...
