I have to report sad news today A musical legend has passed away My mother used to listen to you And I rather liked it, so I listened too I remember MacArthur's Park Played it from morning 'til well after dark The songs you sing give so much pleasure A musical legacy for all to treasure So I won't be mourning, instead, celebrate All of the music that made you so great Last Chance, Hot Stuff and all the rest Just go to confirm that you were the best In fact there will be No More Tears I'll be listening to you for the rest of my years
