She says she's feeling old but that's a load of bull
You can't possibly be old with a life that is this full
If we all act our age instead of what's in our head
There wouldn't be any fun and we may as well be dead
She's got two step (kinda) grandkids that don't cut her any slack
Although in her defence they're the cause of her bad back
She's got a lovely grown up son whose backside is always sunny
The only problem there is that he ain't no good with money
She has her ideal job and it keeps her on her toes
The people there all love her and I think it really shows
We'll be out with them on Friday and they'll all raise a cup
Ah...I know what it is, there's a birthday coming up!
She says she's feeling old and her back will only ache
When she tries to blow out all the candles on her cake
She says she's feeling old, but all of that will change
A taste of Southern Comfort turns her into someone strange
In her place stands someone who will dance until they drop
And it's seems a good idea to try and climb a bus stop
It happens every year so just forget about your age
It's really just a number but don't fall off the stage...
again...
You can say you're feeling old when the hangover arrives
And you're jealous of your sober friend, you wish you could swap lives
But she really is no age, I just wish she'd realise
Even if she really was old she's a beauty in my eyes
So get a move on missus if I may be so bold
And though we are still young don't forget your coat, it's cold
This years celebration commands a status that is gold
Let's piss off to the pub before we really do grow old...
