One morning I shall wake
Amid the new days break
The living will be easy
And not so tough to take
One morning I will find
Something good within the grind
Beautiful and gentle
To smooth the edges of my mind
One morning I will see
That it's a possibility
That there's a ladder from the rut
And I'll climb it, wantonly
One morning it'll change
And at first it will seem strange
Although a creature of habit
Take the chance to rearrange
One morning, but not now
It'll all be good somehow
I'll take the time to learn
How to stand, not have to bow
One morning I shall fly
Reach up and touch the sky
Route anyhow to anywhere
With no-one asking why
One morning I'll be near
To all I hold so dear
Yes one day, somehow, some way
But until then, I'm here...
