Oh look, there goes another one
I wanna be on that plane
Rising through the atmosphere
Away from the mundane
I know it's only EasyJet
But that'll do for me
It's going to the places
That I have yet to see
Is it turning left to Ireland
Or is it turning right for France
Or southward down to Spain
In an airborne game of chance
Truth is, anywhere would do
If only for a while
Buy clean clothes when I land
There'll be something in my style
Then for a couple of hours
Everything will be tres bon
Will anybody miss me?
They won't even know I'm gone
Would I really have the nerve
To disappear into the night
With so much stuff to do
I'd have probably missed the flight
I watched the plane keep rising
Until it was out of view
Wish I could take a little break
Upon that plane with you
But this is Southend Airport
Not known for mile high capers
No inflight entertainment
Just tomorrow mornings papers...
