21 May 2012
They were made of pixels, emoticons to you
One was bright and yellow and the other deepest blue
Their names were Sad and Happy, attached to comments sent
Their function was to illustrate which way your feelings went
Happy said to Sad one day, you are always down
Look at me, full of glee, you'll never see me frown
Round yellow face a smilin', you've never seen me cry
Just for No Sorrow Monday®, you should give it a try
Sad thought a while, then tried a smile, but it was all in vain
His primary purpose to express a writer's doubt and pain
So Happy roughed Sad up a bit and kicked him off the page
And then all day, 21st May, Happy took centre stage!
