For I'm just a normal bloke
It'd hate to breathe clean air
Then watch it all go up in smoke
Have I the will to cut the drinking
The wine, the spirits, and the beer
It'd find it pretty easy
But what a miserable new year
Have I the will to shed some pounds
I know I need to lose some weight
I'm not too fat, yes I know that
Cholesterol may seal my fate
Food seems to be my downfall
Gonna have to cut it back
The chinkies and the rubies
And of course the midnight snack...
Who the hell am I kidding?
Empty promises I will break
I've a party New Year's Eve
Too much temptation to take
Resolute on resolutions
I'll be partying hard indeed
In the morning, dissolved in water
Is the only resolve I'll need...
