Here I stand upon the sand Holding my guardian angel's hand I don't know her name but I'm sure she knows mine And I'm glad she's come down here for a time I can feel the water around my feet What a beautiful place for two people to meet Then she looked at me as if I should know Paused for a second then said I must go We gazed at each other, a wordless goodbye With a flap of her wings she took to the sky In midflight she turned and blew me a kiss I never knew parting could hurt like this For far too soon my angel had gone But in the darkness a bright star shone And now I'm happy for on a night like this I can look to the heavens and know where she is
