Every single Saturday
I buy a lottery ticket
To ease my cash calamity
So I can tell 'em where to stick it
Every single Saturday
I'm convinced I'm gonna win
But they've drawn the fourth ball out
And I throw it in the bin
Every single Saturday
I'm spending too much money
To try and win a better life
For me and my sweet hunny
Every single Saturday
It's an everlasting dream
To finally say I'm off today
And join the winning team
But every single Saturday
It's the same old thing
I rip up all the tickets
And I feel that losing sting
Every single Saturday
I consider packing in
'Cos I'm really getting nowhere
My patience is wearing thin
But on that single Saturday
When I decide to keep my pound
That'll be the Saturday
My numbers come around
