Ok lads, the footie's finished Wipe away that tear Back to normal telly Back to the soaps I fear Put away the BBQ Won't need it for a while Football widows everywhere Have on their biggest smile Girly films and rom-coms The order of the day For a month of football It seems us lads must pay So surrender the remote Just give up the fight You haven't any option If you want some fun tonight...
But while the girlies celebrate Something they've forgotten And when I come to mention it I'm sure they'll feel quite rotten Qualifiers start real soon Next world cup in two years That is reason good enough To stock up with the beers So let the women have their way For in your heart of hearts You know it's just a few more weeks Before the football season starts!
