A spaceman came travelling
In a spaceship small and neat
He flicked a switch altered his pitch
And landed in my street
I stood and watched and wondered
What it was doing here
Then it's door crashed to the floor
I nearly dropped my beer
Then the spaceman disembarked
And walked over to me
His hands upon a big ray gun
I hid behind a tree
He opened one of many mouths
And said 'scuse me is this Earth?
We've travelled far, from furthest star
To judge your planets worth
We've scanned Earth's dirty atmosphere
From high above in space
We seek your fuel and yes, to rule
We've come to take your place
I don't think so spaceman
This race is far from dead
I think I speak for strong and weak
And slapped him round his head
He stared at me thru several eyes
It seemed in disbelief
Hands on hip ran to his ship
Much to my relief
So with invasion averted
I sit back in my den
I watch the skies, but it'd be a surprise
If he shows his faces again
