'Transform any garden!
Turn night time into day!
Come and get your Light Bulb
Only available today'
So of course, I bought one
For I wanted something new
To freshen up the garden
And brighten up the view
I waited 'til the evening
Had given way for night
And placed the little light bulb
In a place that I thought right
The bulb then took its water
And after only half an hour
A serene and lovely light
Was emitting from its flower
The flowers heart was pulsing
Ever steadily
I looked around my garden
To see what I could see
With light bulb shining brightly
Thinking it was day
All the other flowers
Had opened, come to play
A multi-coloured vision
Had come into my sight
There sang a bird for lines were blurred
Between the day and night
I could see it all so clearly
Hear breezes gentle sigh
Augmented by the moonlight
But of course all dreams must die
For suddenly the sunrise
Made light bulb fade away
And softly fold its petals
To greet the brand new day
A shame, then, that the light bulb
Was a one day only deal
This poem's all I have
To share the way it made me feel
