As I start to wake
And slowly come too
I begin to think of things to do
I lay there warm wrapped up so fine
Planing ahead to try and have time
For all the bits that need to be done I wish my life was a lot more fun
But with
Bills to pay
Places to go
People to see
And nothing to show
It's hard sometimes to keep so strong
To find the strength to carry on
I must do this
I mustn't forget that
I must remember to feed the cat
The dentist to see
The papers to pay
Collecting the children at the end of the day
Dinners to plan
Pleasing them all
A sweet 16 and my daughters prom ball
Showers and baths
They do like to choose
Polishing up their scuffed school shoes
Uniforms ready
Lunch packs prepared
Another day ending
I'm close to despair
I want my bed
I need my sleep
No sound now please not even a peep
I want my dreams
So pleasant and true
To sleep on a cloud
To sleep right through
I starts again tomorrow for sure
It wont be long before I'm out through the door.
