Chapter 3

I wake up in the morning, happy to realise it's Saturday. I snuggle back down before realizing about Becky and Will. I call her immediately to get the gossip. ' So Becky. I think we need to go shopping what with you and Will!' I get straight to the point. ' I said no, Jess.' She replies quietly and I'm rather taken aback. ' Why?'
' Jess, I know you like him. Anyway, I've got eyes for Chris, you know that!'
' Well, you didn't tell him I like you, did you?' I'm shocked. Chris and her have been flirting for ages, but never physically gone out.
' I dropped a hint, or two. Or three. Anyway, Chris asked me on a date just before Will called!' She squealed excitedly. ' Shopping it is! Meet me at three!' she hangs up, leaving me to take this all in. The phone rings again, breaking me from my thoughts. ' Hello?'
' Hi, Jess. It's Will. I just wanted to know if you're free tonight?' Yesss! I silently thank the ceiling. ' Yes, I am. '
' Well, are you free around around 7?' he asks, sounding wistful.
'Yes. Are you asking me out, Mr. Foster?' I joke.
' Yes, miss. Cartwright.'
'Well in that case yes. See you at seven.' I put down the phone, my composure gone. Looking at the clock, I realise that it's almost three. I slick on some lipstick and head for the door.
The first place Becky and I visit is a new shop, called 'dreams'. The clothes are very beautiful, and I've been itching to go shopping in there. We file in, and head straight for the dress section. I head straight for a pale lilac dress, with brown roses embroidered on the edge. I select some brown heels, purple eyeshadow, a beautiful lilac clutch, and a matching set of rose and pearl jewelry set. I go to the checkout, to find the cost is £114. Oh well, I think. It's all for Will. Once I get home, I have a quick shower, then get ready. 1 hour and squirt of perfume later, the doorbell rings. ' You look beautiful, Jessica!' Will breathes. And it's true.
