I skipped to my room
*
I turned my light on and closed the door.
I looked at my clock nearly 4:30 "Good." I thought. I opened my cupboard doors and looked inside, what ever should I wear tonight?
I checked the weather forecast on my iPod.
It would be kind of cool, but then again The Cocó Café is usually pretty warm.I didn't want to be too dressy considering it was only a Café.
I decided to go casual, I hoped it wasn't tooo casual! I put on a blue t-shirt and a grey windcheater and my comfy black Trackies.
I checked myself in my full length mirror. I quickly re-did my hair into a pony tail. I smiled happily at my reflection, then I poked my tongue out and left my room.
I walked into the kitchen to see if I could help. "Excited?" my mum asked. " Uh huh" I nodded, smiling.
"Any way I can help?"I wonder. "Sure, you can make the salad. Your father went out to get the chicken and chips and I'm cleaning up from before and I'm making some orange juice." she informs me. "Okay" I answer cheerily. I quickly gather the lettuce tomato cucumber and dressing.
I started peeling the cucumbers and slicing them finely, I did the same with the tomatoes and lettuce, I combined the ingredients in the bowl and added some italian dressing. I put glad warp on the bowl and put it in the fridge. I cleaned the bench. "Thanks honey." my mother said gratefully.
I joyfully ran to my room.
I looked at my clock expectantly, "Oh.." I sighed. It was only ten past five. "Oh well... Should probably do something useful..." I thought. I decided on doing homework, to pass the time-and then read a book...
Before I knew it, it was 6:40. "Ohmygoodness ohmygoodness!" I gasped. I raced around in a hurry looking for a bag, putting money in it and making sure my phone was charged and chucking it in the bag. I then chucked in my grey canvas shoes.
I checked myself in the mirror one last time- when our of nowhere... "Bring bring! Bring bring!" my cell phone! I realized.
I fumbled around in my bag for it, "Gotcha!" I smiled, it was rose.
"Hey casey!!"
"hey! Aren't you meant to be training? " I wondered.
"Oh yeah... About that,"she laughed nervously,"Well I nearly got a third strike... But I told Jess(her coach) that YOUU my dear, were stressing about a first date and as a best friend it was my duty to look after you and give you a pep talk" she giggled happier now,"And then she said during our break I could call you! Perfect timing aye?" she asked.
"Yeah," I laughed,"Hey look, I'm just about to go now... I'm so nervous!" I say honestly.
"Don't worry, you'll have a great time! I'll let you go now, seeya!" she reassures me. "Okay, bye bye" we hang up.. I smile.
I run into the lounge room and see my mother there, on the couch watching tv.
She glances at her watch, "Ooh! Time to go I see," she hops up and grabs the keys that are hanging off the hook next to the front door, "Let's get going" she says. We walk out of the house and get into the car.
