I rang Beth again and again until she answered and when she did she was crying...
"Cl...air...e" she sobbed.
"Beth, what's happened?"
"My stuff are gone and...And..."
"What?" I quizzed.
"I've been kicked out." she began to wail again...
I instantly hung up and ran up the flat stairs to Beth's flat which was directly above ours. She was sat on the cold, hard, dusty floor next to the door with a small, flowery suitcase. Head in her hands... I rushed up to her, grabbed her arms and pulled her up.
"Right," I said running back down the stairs with her-I entered our flat.
"This is your new home." Dom gaped at me and I soon explained I had decided she'd have to live with us, he nodded. So I went to help Beth unpack. I helped take out all the things she had managed to save and put them in the spare room. All the furniture she'd need was there-there was a chest of drawers that could be used as a dressing table, a bedside table, a bed and a wardrobe. It was pretty comfy actually. She cried as she unpacked her belongings, which, now, wasn't a lot and I continued to help her. It took about two minutes to unpack which shows she barely had anything... I felt a tear fall out of my eye and quickly wiped it away so as Beth wouldn't see because it would only upset her more...
"We'll go and get some furnishings tomorrow." I smiled. She smiled, but looked sad. I felt really sorry for her-she'd just been kicked out of her own home and she was taking it quite well, which could only mean she was keeping her pain and hurt inside and I knew that was the worst thing to do...
After unpacking and making Beth a bed up we all went straight to bed. Everyone knew miserable dreams was to come. Dreams of pain and homelessness.
