Some say the universe is expanding, others say it's shrinking and more say it is doing neither.
I think it is shrinking. It will get smaller and smaller until BOOM. Another big bang. Then a universe will form, exactly the same as ours. So in billions and billions of years I will be sitting down typing this paragraph, and I will again, infinity more times.

Technically it is expanding currently, and will one day stop, and start shrinking back. How far we can only guess. The more interesting question is, if it is expanding, what is it expanding into?
I always think, what is on the edge. Does ghe universe just stop or fade into something else. Don't scientists say it's expanding into nothingness made of time?
@lsquidia that is one of the theories yes. Another is that the universe is infinity big, and therefore isn't expanding into anything, it is instead thought that everything inside is stretching. I personally like the idea from the end of men in black. That are universe is so small, it's contained within an alien's marble. Don't think there is any evidence on that one, it's just a nice idea
