New Girl - Part 1

Well, today was to be my first day at yet another new school. My parents travelled a lot, as my mum is a marine biologist, and my father a geologist, and this meant I was repeatedly moved from school to school, I didn't bother trying to make friends anymore as it hurt every time I had to say goodbye.
I became a depressed child, I drew into myself. I dyed my long hair black and had a thick full fringe cut in, started to wear really pale foundation and dark eyeliner. I began to wear black clothes and lots of chains and skulls. I wasn't doing it for attention, I did it because i liked it. Ever since I was little I was fascinated by goths. Now I was one.

I dragged myself out from the cosy warmth of my bed, and clambered into the shower. I stood under the jets for about 20 minutes before I actually washed myself and hair. Then I quickly dried myself while pondering over what to wear...
I decided to wear my black skirt with the layers of netting to make it puffy and lots of dangly chains hanging from the waistband and pockets, I pulled on some black tights covered in a pattern of grey skulls, and a top that had a giant skull on the front. What shoes to wear...? I scanned through my millions of pairs and decided on my long black converse boots, which came up to just below my knee's and had black laces dotted with white skulls. Perfect.
Now I had to think of what to do with my hair. It was extremely long most girls were jealous, coming down thick to just below the bottom of my ribcage, poker straight. I combed it through, blasted it with my hair dryer and decided just to leave it down. I brushed on my foundation, lined my eyes and smeared on some dark lipstick. I put my little skull earrings into my ears, placed my skull necklace round my neck, and put my three rings on- a coffin, a skull and a cross. I grabbed my black over the shoulder school bag which was shaped as a coffin and thudded down the stairs. I dumped my bag at the bottom and stepped into the kitchen. My mum smiled at me, asking if I was ready for the day ahead. She asked the same things every time we moved. It was beginning to become boring. I replied with my usual answer of "yeah whatever ready as I'll ever be." and got myself some toast. Once I had finished I washed my plate up, brushed my teeth and jumped into the car where I waited for my dad.

We drove along in silence until he pulled up at the school gates. I hesitated for a second considering whether to beg my father not to make me go, to let me just go home and not have to deal with all the silly people, but decided against it. He would only say no anyway.

I stepped out of the car and closed the door
"just go to the main office, in the building just ahead of you, they will give you your timetable, and a map and tell you where to go, okay? I'll pick you up later. Have a good day" my dad was pointing towards the boring brick building right infront of me. It looked like a prison. I nodded at him and wandered hopelessly over to the big blue doors. Kill me now.
