Flawless Time Pt 14

It was Sam's birthday, we had a huge birthday for him! There was quite a few people there, me, mum, Sam, his parents who where actually extremely nice, and about twenty ripple from school. They all stared at us when I said something, but I lguess I never speak at school. I made Sam a huge chocolate birthday cake, he said it was his favourite! When everybody had left, including Sam's parents,I took Sam down to the lagoon,we both sat down so that our bare feet were dipped in the cool water, I pulled out a small vegetable knife,
"what's that for?" Sam asked curiously
"it's for one of your birthday presents...."
"what-"
"my blood for you if you still want it?"
"what of course I do" he said smiling at me, he took my hand as I made a cut on my hand. It went deeper than I had expected and started to bleed badly
"quick before it drys" I said lifting my hand up to him, he took it like they do in movies and kissed it, I could feel his tongue, which I thought was kind of gross but I guess I've had worse! We sat there not knowing what would happen this thing had never happened before so I didn't know what the reaction would be.
After about 10 minutes Sam went extremely pale, I took his hand and squeezed it. All of a sudden Sam started to shake and his breathing when very deep, I looked at him worried ad he looked back but his deep brown eyes where unfocused. I lay him down on the floor. His eyes started to close,
"Sam? Sam? Can you hear me!? Please please stay alive" I kept pleading him him to stay with me but he wouldn't reply. I wasn't sure if this was a normal reaction or the blood in his family had a bad reaction to it. I picked him up into my arms and ran to the hospital hoping they could do something.....
