Why do I feel so awkward around them? At school. I feel so alone. I could go all day without talking to anyone. I just don't fit in, I'm not loud, obnoxious, or confident like everyone else. I would much rather be alone than associate with those people.

You'll be surprised how many people will be in the same situation as you - the truth is, you probably have more friends than the 'popular' ones do, because any friend that you have will be a true friend. They will probably leave school, never speak to one another again, and never have as good a friendship, but you will have the one that lasts, and the foundation to build as many more as you go along.
@tgriffiths42 Those sort of people bug me. Like all they care about is being liked. And I know a lot of people are like me, but honestly I only have one actual friend that I trust and can talk to at school, the rest are just nothing. I just hope I meet more people after I'm done with school. And thank you, the fact that you took your time to write this means a lot. (:
@michellee well, if you have one actual friend, your life is already being filled. Stay true to yourself and once you leave the social bounds of school, friends will surround you. That was my experience anyway, I hope others will agree.
