Love On The Internet

Over the last couple of years that I have been using Twitter, I have found that girls who also use these social networks and decide to follow me are great people.
By that, I mean girls that are like me show themselves.

Twitter makes finding girls who are my type of dream girlfriend easier. You can post anything and if someone takes an interests it's easy for them to reply. That eliminates the need to break the ice, for someone as shy as me, it's perfect.

I've been a Tweeter for about 2 years now. In that time I have found myself get close to 5 girls. 4 of which have or are leading to 'dates'. It hasn't always worked out. One ended up being a long-distance relationship which inevitably lead to heartbreak, because distance is a catalyst for a break up. One was a relationship that lasted for 6 months. To this date, my only real relationship. As we speak, I've found another girl who likes me. She lives 300 miles away, but since I've had one long distance relationship and made it work for so long and have learnt from my mistakes, I'm quietly confident that this one may not end with an abrupt heartbreak.

For someone like me, who has an irrational fear of speaking to people face to face, especially girls. Twitter is a haven. It makes it easy to talk to people, there's no pressure to make an impression other that what you say.
Without Twitter, I'd still not have had a relationship. I would still be looking for my first kiss.

I have to thank Twitter and the people who created it, without them I would still be a lonely depressed figure.
