Ghost Town

I went for a walk
To get some fresh air
I went through the town
There's nobody there

Where have they gone
Where could they be
I thought to myself
It's just lonely old me

As I walk through the street
On my way home
It suddenly hit me
I'm here all alone

I smile to myself
Not wearing a frown
I really do like
My little ghost town

Birthday Cake

Sitting at the head Of a long empty table. I'd manage a smile, If I were able. Humming the pitchy tune That echoes through the room. A cake in front of me, No one else will consume.

Invisible

Can you see me. Can you hear me. Why do you look through me. It's like I'm not here. You walk straight past without acknowledgement. Am I a ghost. A spirit. Am I not worth the effort.

Alone In The Mist

A milky haze swallows me. As the mist rolls across the field. I raise my arms, as if to embrace. And to the clouds I yield. The air is cool and bitter. It carries the smell of sea.

Where am I?

Where am I,. With ceilings so high. Chandeliers fall from the sky. Where am I,. With the windows so big,. That the whole word can see me jig. Where am I,. People stare. Looking here and looking there.

Emptiness

Emptiness surrounds. Loveless baron grounds. No arms wrapped tightly around. Nothing lost, nothing found. A desolate place. An isolated space. An emotionless face. A body covered in lace.

I love it when you have a whole place to yourself, it happened in the centre of London once with me and my mate, we had just been out for the night and the tube was shut so we walked across London to Liverpool street. The streets were really dead and it was a memory I will always hold on to, you just get the time to fully appreciate things around you. Great poem👍
