My release from prison Was a fresh start for me The people I'd meet The places I'd see

I quit all my drugs I gave up the drink It wasn't as easy As you'd like to think

I met this woman Who lit up my life A couple years later I made her my wife

Then she got pregnant I was so happy This was the start Of my own family

So this is my message For all that will see Leave the past behind you Set yourself free
