14 July 2012
It was a dark night on the 15th June I went for a walk Under a full moon
In to the forest I slowly did creep Wildlife were snoring They must be asleep
Over the branches Moving past trees Just making sure That nothing else sees
Me walking along This bumpy dirt track I've gone in to far I must start to go back
Making my way past The old iron gate Preying I'll make it That it's not getting late
Up to the bridge My feet have turned sore I don't think I can Walk anymore
Feet all in blisters Eyes open wide I suddenly heard A noise deep inside
I started to shake My hands in a quiver I tried to keep moving Down by the river
I suddenly stopped As I heard a big howl Something behind me Started to growl
I continued my path Not looking back Just pressing on Down the beaten old track
I got to the tree Where my night walk begun There stood a black bear I started to run
Back to the path My feet they did hurry Pulse beating fast My hearts in a flurry
Praying this beast Doesn't catch me I'm too young to die I'm not ready you see
I stumble and fall Tremble with fear This terrible beast Getting ever so near
Pulse rate is soaring My heads gone a drift I felt myself Starting to lift
When I came round What did I see This great big bear Was carrying me
Back through the forest Back to my home He placed me back down And left me alone
My nerves slightly settled My life coming back I'll never return To that old dirty track
