Holiday Alone

Chapter 1
'You are kidding right, mum?'. Mum shook her head, 'No, I'm not sweetie, we have given you and one of your friends the chance to go on holiday together, alone.'. I couldn't believe what my mum was saying. Me and Anna (my best friend) could lay on golden beaches and when we got warm, we could run up to the sea and cool off in the azure waters. 'Mum, you've given me a great opportunity, I really can't refuse!'. Mum smiled and said 'Well that what mums are for!' I hugged my mum tightly until she lifted my hands off and held them. 'You will be going on the aeroplane to.....Spain! You'll be staying in Majorca, in a luxury holiday villa!'. I squealed with excitement. 'Majorca?! Mum this is going to be the trip of a lifetime! Let me get my cell, I need to tell Anna before I explode!'. Mum laughed. Eagerly, I dialled the number and pressed the button. She picked up and I could hear the blurs in the background. 'Hello?' Anna began, wondering who would be calling her at 9am on a Sunday morning. 'Its me, Zoe.' I cried. 'Oh hi Zoe, what's up?' I bit my bottom lip. 'Guess what my mum has given me and you the chance to do?'. Anna hummed. 'I don't know, you tell me.' I shouted through my cell, 'Go on holiday together!'. You could hear the faint cries of Anna's hoorays in the background. 'You're kidding right? Where are we going?'. Without hesitation, I said 'Majorca, Spain! Isn't that great?'. Anna sighed. 'It isn't just great, it's fantastic!' I said, 'I know!'. And told her a little more about the villa and the flight, until our mums wanted to discuss and we had to say goodbye. I started packing straight away, even though I was going next week. Mum indicated for me to keep the volume down whilst she chatted to Steph (Anna's mum). I am so excited!
