The teacher stood up front, passing out a class syllabus and going through it.
"Now, to stay in this class, you must maintain a B- minimum by the end of the semester..."
"Psst!!" Mia hissed into Claire's ear, nudging her slightly.
"What?" she whispered back, keeping her attention on the teacher.
"Claire, Claire, look!"
"Look at what?!"
"Near the front! That guy!"
"What...? Him?"
"No, the guy next to him!" Mia was now squealing at a dangerously high pitch.
Claire blinked a few times in surprise; she couldn't believe she missed him.
Of course, all they could see was the back of his head. But his hair... It was very out of place.
Bright white. The lighting in the classroom only seemed to make his hair glow with a light sheen.
Claire unconsciously tugged at her bangs, then smoothed them out.
"Nice hair..." she whispered, both her and Mia suppressing a snicker.
The teacher droned on and on, and it looked like no one was paying attention at this point.
"...And tonight, I ask that you go through the syllabus with your parents." Finally, the bell rang and everyone darted out of their seats.
The white haired new kid, whose name was apparently Jaden, was the last to leave. As he exited the classroom, he lightly scoffed. What a boring first day.
