2 December 2012
put your clothes back on.
party's over.
think it's bad now?
wait till you're sober.
never ending shots,
never ending thoughts.
song dropped,
time stopped.
handfuls of herb,
passed out on a curb.
cuts cover your arms,
shifty eyes promise no harm.
black magic and a bottle of gin,
his smile encouraging your inner sins.
refills and liquor stains,
more smoke, less brains.
difference in age is like the difference in liquor,
terribly sweet and terribly bitter.
the repetition pounding on your ears,
the beat controlling your inner gears.
hearts synchronized to the beat,
looking around for fresh meat.
he spotted you,
you spotted him.
strangers become friends,
one cup becomes four.
no one to judge you,
or tell you no more.
time passes by and
we're still standing.
injected with a high
that postpones landing.
emotions exaggerated,
lust takes over.
making decisions one dodges when sober.
darkness consumes you,
music stops.
blurry recollections of addictive obsessions.
you've reached the top,
can't get any higher.
taken over the entire town
on the road to sobriety,
stumbling down.
hope you've made a friend to take you to their place,
escaping the party without a trace.
the world is spinning from the passenger seat.
looking down at someone else's feet.
the world gets taller
and taller,
eyes grow smaller
and smaller.
kissed goodnight by kryptonite.
eyes turned from white to red,
wake up alone in his bed.
