You tip-toe into my chest,
Whispering what love was best,
Made me dance across an empty stage,
Pushed me on to a forgotten page,
I wonder at the thought of emotion,
Its waves a mime of a stormy ocean,
Why do you slink and slide beside me,
What are you trying to make me see?
Coxing out love now chronic and ill,
Thinking I'll bend to your want and will,
Do you not see I am the same as you?
That I lie, while everything I say is true?
Just see me for the beast I am,
Longing to run like a newborn lamb,
You mirror of me,
you wasp disguised as a bee,
Tell me,
What do you gain by breaking me?
Make me want you at night,
Then leave, is that right?
That's my prerogative, my game,
So put down that arrow, forget to aim,
Quench your thirst elsewhere,
Put out this silly flame,
No more of this, it can't be done,
I remove your right to say my name.
