Moonlight

I like learning, I am an avid learner. If there is something to know I am there with bells on; blank pages ready to be filled.
Ink me, work me over with oil and charcoal and colours I have only dreamt about - then burn the pages, this is not a story anyone wants to hear, this is not a lesson anyone wants to learn (but you will teach me nonetheless) and we will burn the pages of memories like autumn leaves lost in winter - too cold on the outside, so they burn from within.

It is better to be looked over than to be overlooked. She is living her mantra, reciting without demand - years (if not decades) go by and she is just that. You are wondering which one - she is realizing it's both. They are sizing her up, measuring and equating, whilst setting her aside. Have and have not. She has not, while they have and have and have.

He is teaching her a lesson she has not the patience to learn.

She will disappear before sunrise, pale faced, in day her skin will burn, instead let moonlight set fire to her insides - those kind of scars are easier to hide.

'Looked/overlooked..have/have not' I particularly like that section. Another wonderful & intriguing piece of work 😌

Great and provocative piece to ponder!
