I want to discover
And travel
And learn
I want to be free
With excitement at every turn
I want to make music
And artwork all day
I want to write stories
And spend my time at play
I want a life in the theatre
Be something I'm not
I want to be dramatic
I want happiness that can't be bought
Mom and Dad, you look at me
And say I'll go nowhere
If I'm not making grandkids
I'll bring you both despair
If I am no doctor
Or lawyer
Or wife
I'll make you all upset
But this is my life
And it may not be what you want
And I may be a bit out of place
But it's my road
And it's my time to waste
