It's only sophomore year
So much more to go
Already I am buried
Can't prepare for tomorrow
School is shit
Home is worse
Just let me sleep
Carry me off in a hearse
I hate my work
Can't focus my mind
Can't make any friends
Can't ever be kind
Can't learn anything new
Or keep my grades high
Can't stay awake
Yet sleep I defy
And I can't ever find rest
And I'm never awake
And fatigue is slowly taking me
Consuming me in its wake
I'm melodramatic and exaggerating
It's only sophomore year
But high school is suffocating
And death I'm eagerly awaiting
Lethargy's much more than frustrating
Because life without sleep just means fear
