In the beginning of life as I know it I asked you something that changed me. I asked you what your dreams were. You told me "I have only one. To live a simple life, grow old with a man I love and at the end of my life, run a small chocolate shop in France". Then you asked me what my biggest dream was. I answered that I wanted to be a musician. I lied and I wish I hadn't. It came to be my worst mistake.
The moment you told me your dream, all of mine changed. I would have given my life to fulfill yours. And so I did. Of course you don't know of that.
The end of your life came in what should have been the beginning. I now have a big hole where my heart used to be. You took it with you when you left. A picture of you hangs on the wall. Once in a while a customer asks who she is. I answer quietly: "My dream"
A picture of you hangs on the wall in your very own chocolate shop.
