"You've got an enemy."

I've gotten pretty far in this story so I figured it's about time I told you more about my job.

As you already know I'm a Russian translator.

I mainly translate books and poems, any form of literature really.

Oh, by the way I work for Random House.

I know I sound like such a nerd when I say this, but I really like my job!

I love getting read all this Russian literature!

I've always found the Russian language really cool.

I'm the best translator in the whole company so I make a pretty decent living.

Seriously, give me any English word or phrase (and I do mean ANY) and I'll translate it into Russian.

My boss is ok, I don't know any of the other workers there too well so I guess I can't say anything about them.

My boss has light brown hair, hazel eyes, is fairly tall, oh and he wears glasses (but not the gigantic geek ones that my nerdy older brother Eric wears.)

I was about to call him to tell him I'd be working from home for awhile, when a thought occurred to me, what would Anica do while I was working?

Eh, she's a smart kid, I'm sure she'll figure something out.

The phone began to ring.

It was none other than my boss.

" I'm glad you called, there's something I really wanted to talk to you about," I said.

"Actually, there's something I need to talk to you about as well," said my boss.

"We're giving you a month off."

"You mean like a paid vacation?!?" I said hopefully.

I could see it now!

Me on the beach, watching the sun set, drinking a martini.

Pure bliss!

"No, you see, we're giving you time off to.........rest. You've been working really hard and we think that might have gotten to you," he said in a voice that just screamed "How do I put this delicately?"

"Wh-what do you mean?" I said with shock.

"Well....................one of your neighbors told us he saw you outside and you appeared to be having a mental-breakdown. We're all concerned for your health. It's best if you had some time to yourself to "sort out your priorities." he said.

"What?!?! I ain't crazy!!!! Who told you that bunch of $%!@?!?!?!?!?!" I said furiously.

"H-his name d-doesn't come to m-mind at the moment. J-just c-calm down, and t-try to r-relax," my boss said nervously.

I took a deep breath and began to massage my temples.

Oh God I have such a headache!

"Good, you're relaxed. Now just try to rest and don't worry about work or anything."

"Alright then," I said.

"Goodbye!"

"Goodbye."

As I hung up the phone I began to think more about what my boss had said.

"One of your neighbors said he saw you outside and you appeared to be having a mental-breakdown."

HE!!!!

There's only one explanation!

It was Adoff my creepy German neighbor!

I always knew he'd get back at me somehow for making fun of his name, but I never thought that he'd go so far as to do something like this!

I mean I never really liked him, but I didn't hate him either.

Well Adoff, ya big, creepy, wurst loving Kraut, looks like you've got an enemy.
