It's not easy to be me.
I must:
Heal quickly,
always forgive,
forget the past,
but am cursed to remember.
Be fearless,
Be perfect,
And always be my best.
I can't afford to:
Make mistakes,
Get frightened easily,
Sink to my knees and cry,
And break my heart anymore than its already broken.
I've been mistreated and ignored,
Battered and bruised,
And just plain abused.
I'm not saying that I have it the worst, but
IT'S NOT EASY TO BE ME.
